Mid Sussex District Council's Community Grant Scheme, offering up to £5,000 per application to local community groups whose projects directly benefit Mid Sussex residents and address at least one council priority area — community safety, health and wellbeing, community development, or resilient communities. Since 2015 the council has awarded almost £900,000 to community projects across the district through this scheme.

Properly constituted organisation (governing document and bank account, with a recent bank statement and up to two years of accounts) delivering a project of direct benefit to Mid Sussex residents, open to all with an equal opportunities policy; each organisation can receive only one award per financial year.
