Lewisham's Crisis and Resilience Fund — the council's replacement for the Household Support Fund, which ended nationally on 31 March 2026 — Housing Payment strand, for residents already receiving Housing Benefit or the housing costs element of Universal Credit who need extra help with rent. As of the September 2026 recheck, the general (non-housing) Crisis Payment strand has also since gone live — see the separate 'Crisis and Resilience Fund – Crisis Payment (Lewisham)' entry.

Requirement
Receiving Housing Benefit or the housing costs element of Universal Credit, and able to give a good reason for needing extra support with rent — circumstances don't have to be exceptional. Covers rent shortfalls, and one-off relocation costs such as advance rent or moving expenses.
