Fisheries and Seafood Scheme (FaSS)

Marine Management Organisation / Defra

Description

Corrected August 2026: amount and application portal updated after locating the live official source (previously omitted as not confidently known). FaSS is funded from the Fishing and Coastal Growth Fund (£304m across England's fishing and seafood businesses and coastal communities) and offers up to £250,000 grant per applicant per year, not the wider £1,000–£1 million range previously recorded. Funds projects across the English fishing and seafood sector — from safety equipment and vessel improvements through to processing and marketing. Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland each run their own separate devolved equivalents rather than sharing this English scheme.
