Description

Competitive, discretionary grant from South Lanarkshire Council, delivered through Business Gateway Lanarkshire, helping established full-time businesses strengthen their long-term sustainability and drive growth via capital expenditure, infrastructure improvement, consultancy, training, or trade show participation.

Applicant must be a registered business.

Notes: Excludes gambling, drinking establishments without food service, takeaway-only businesses, and credit unions. Covers 50% of eligible project costs (excluding VAT): up to £20,000 for capital/infrastructure projects or up to £5,000 for consultancy/training/trade shows, capped at £20,000 per business per funding year (1 April 2026–31 March 2027), and awards cannot exceed 10% of the business's most recent annual turnover. Requires a Scottish Enterprise Net Zero Accelerator Tool report.
Requirement: Micro, small, or medium-sized businesses (fewer than 250 employees) based in South Lanarkshire, actively trading for at least 12 months, with turnover above the VAT threshold (or expected to reach £90,000 within 12 months), not in arrears on rates or council tax, and demonstrating progress toward net-zero, 10% turnover growth, or job creation.
