Vacant Premises Improvement Grant (Falkirk)

Falkirk Council

Description

Grant to bring vacant high street and town-centre ground-floor premises across the Falkirk Council area back into use, funding conversion work, fixtures and fittings, energy efficiency, accessibility, and external/cosmetic improvements.

Amount

£2,000–£25,000 (50% of costs for businesses, 75% for Third Sector)

Deadline

28 February 2027

Eligibility summary

  • Available in: Scotland.
  • Most relevant to: Retail, Hospitality & Tourism.
Notes
Businesses receive 50% of eligible costs up to £25,000 (minimum award £2,000); Third Sector organisations receive 75% up to £25,000 (minimum award £2,000). Professional fees capped at 10% of project costs. Funded through the UK Government's Pride in Place Impact Fund. CORRECTION (August 2026 re-verification): confirmed directly on the council's live page that the final application deadline is February 2027 (may close earlier if fully subscribed) — corrected from the previously recorded 30 April 2027, which appears to have conflated the fund's own spending deadline with the applicant-facing deadline.
Requirement
Ground-floor premises in the Falkirk Council area vacant for at least one month. Sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and Third Sector organisations can apply; applicant must not be in debt to the Council (e.g. Business Rates arrears) and cannot start work before receiving the grant award.

This one is usually simple enough to do yourself using the free official link below — but if you'd rather have help, we're building relationships with vetted professionals and can let you know if that becomes available.

Some of the organisations we may connect you with pay us a referral fee if you use their service. This never affects which listings you see in the directory. No live partner is confirmed yet for this listing.
