Warm Homes Hartlepool

Hartlepool Borough Council

Description

Hartlepool Borough Council's standalone Warm Homes: Local Grant scheme, funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, offering free energy-efficiency improvements — solar panels and battery storage, loft/cavity/solid wall insulation, double glazing (replacing single glazing), smart heating controls, air source heat pumps, and high-retention storage heaters — to eligible households. High demand means not all applications succeed.

Amount

Free energy-efficiency and low-carbon heating improvements; per-property cap not published

Deadline

Rolling / no fixed deadline

Eligibility summary

  • Available in: England.
  • Open to individuals — not restricted to businesses.
  • Relevant income bands: earning under the Personal Allowance, basic rate taxpayers.
Notes
An older 'HEET (Home Energy Efficiency Tees Valley)' page on the council's own site now redirects to this scheme's content, suggesting HEET was an earlier name for the same DESNZ-funded programme rather than a separate live one.
Requirement
Home in an eligible (deprived) Hartlepool postcode area, EPC rating D-G (D or E for privately rented properties), and combined gross household income under £36,000/year for all adults, or receipt of a qualifying means-tested benefit (Housing Benefit, income-based JSA, income-related ESA, Income Support, Pension Credit, or Universal Credit). Tenants need landlord permission to apply.

Want help with this application?

This one is usually simple enough to do yourself using the free official link below — but if you'd rather have help, we're building relationships with vetted professionals and can let you know if that becomes available.

Some of the organisations we may connect you with pay us a referral fee if you use their service. This never affects which listings you see in the directory. No live partner is confirmed yet for this listing.

You can also do this yourself for free via the official source
