Eligibility summary

  • Available in: England.
  • Open to individuals — not restricted to businesses.
  • Relevant income bands: earning under the Personal Allowance, basic rate taxpayers.
Notes
Process involves an eligibility check, a retrofit assessment of the property, and retrofit coordination to prepare a suitable package of measures. Re-verified 19 August 2026: the council's own page now states it is oversubscribed ('we are currently oversubscribed for Warm Homes: Local Grant so we are not processing anymore applications at the current time'), though it still invites applications for consideration if further funding becomes available. The scheme is confirmed to cover around 158 homes (up to £15,000 of retrofit work each), with 42 properties upgraded in its first year.
Requirement
Northumberland resident with an EPC rating of D or below; household income and other factors are taken into account, with additional provision for off-gas-grid households.
