Crisis and Resilience Fund (Worcestershire)

Worcestershire County Council (crisis and energy support); district councils (housing-related support)

Description

Worcestershire County Council's county-wide Crisis and Resilience Fund, replacing the Household Support Fund and running for three years until 31 March 2029. Provides crisis payments and wider financial resilience support — such as the Oil and LPG Energy Support Scheme and a Heating Repairs and Replacements scheme — for low-income households facing a financial emergency, administered via the Worcestershire Advice Network (Citizens Advice, Age UK, and DIAL). Housing-related costs are handled separately by each district council.

Eligibility summary

  • Available in: England.
  • Open to individuals — not restricted to businesses.
  • Relevant income bands: earning under the Personal Allowance.
Notes
Confirmed via Worcestershire County Council's own dedicated Crisis and Resilience Fund page, which names all six of the county's district councils (Bromsgrove, Malvern Hills, Redditch, Worcester City, Wychavon, and Wyre Forest) as covered. All six are now tagged, completing the widening across two batches: Bromsgrove and Malvern Hills in a prior batch, and Redditch, Worcester City, Wychavon, and Wyre Forest in this batch — this now completes Worcestershire for this fund. Re-checked August 2026: the two named sub-schemes (Oil and LPG Energy Support Scheme; Heating Repairs and Replacements) are confirmed live and open on the same page, but the page's own wording for the core CRF still reads 'we are currently developing the local scheme in line with Department for Work and Pensions guidance' — kept as ACTIVE since Crisis Payments, Housing Payments and the two named sub-schemes are all functioning, but noted here in case the core scheme's own detail (assessment process, published amounts) is still being finalised.
Requirement
Worcestershire resident on a low income, facing a financial crisis and unable to meet essential living costs such as food, energy, or household items.
